Going forward, Double cab pick ups with one tonne or greater pay-load will be treated as cars for tax purposes such as capital allowances and benefit-in-kind.

Transitional arrangements will apply to double cab pick-ups acquired, leased, or ordered before April 2025, offering continuity until the earlier of disposal, lease expiry, or April 2029.
